I absolutely love them! And some of them can definitely be used in your paint project for selling your house.

Sherwin Williams also went for a Navy Blue, as their top choice for 2020 – NAVAL. Even if it could be a fantastic paint colour for some rooms in your house, I don’t recommend using it, if you’re planning to sell your house soon.

Here are my “words of wisdom” when it comes to paint colours you’ll choose for staging your house to sell:

  • Don’t select more than 1-2 paint colours. You want the buyers to focus on the house and the paint is just the backdrop.
  • Don’t go too “trendy”, as it might not please everyone. For example, one of the trendy 2020 colours is Mango…:)
  • Choose NEUTRAL colours, as the main colour (off white, grey, greige, light champagne, etc)
  • Monochromatic colour scheme works best for home staging
  • Create visual interest by using a complementary accent colour
  • Save money by using a cheaper brand paint. To accomplish that, give the store the sample (code) of the paint you selected, even if it’s from a different brand.

The answer is: there are a lot more than 5! So, as long as you stay within the guidelines of selecting a neutral, warm color which matches your floors, kitchen cabinets and furniture, you’ll be fine.
